
Nebraska alumni living in New York know they have been close to having the Huskers come to town for years.After the Huskers would reach five wins, “we always joked that we just need one more win and it’s the Pinstripe Bowl,” said the president of the New York City alumni chapter. “Personally, for me, honestly, this is my Super Bowl,” said Steven Cohen. The Huskers say there are more than 1,800 Nebraska alumni living in the area. “The alumni base here in New York is massive,” Cohen said. “We actually have one of the largest alumni bases outside the Midwest metropolitans.”Others, of course, will travel to New York from Nebraska.Packages through Husker Online and EB Sports Tours were already halfway sold late Sunday. They offer a round-trip charter flight and a three-night hotel stay.The Nebraska Alumni Association is selling a two-night package, not including a flight to New York. It had sold 20 packages as of late Sunday.Neither includes tickets to the game.Tickets are on sale from the bowl, with prices starting at $70, including most fees.The Huskers are selling game tickets, too, with first access for donors and season-ticket holders. If still available, tickets will be open to everyone through the Husker Athletics Ticket Office on Wednesday at 10 a.m.
