Bukit Kasih is a strange mausoleum and a memorial in the highlands in Minhasa in Manado, Sulawesi.
Two sides of the epic stone, allocated to the local Indonesian heroes for a long time, have been carved in the hills and staring at you, like a type of mountain of the creeping tribes.
It is also the Earth’s thermal energy area, so there are hot boiling springs, dilapidated rock foundations, and the ground around your feet smokes.
Looks crazy, huh? I saw and did some things on my trips, but this may be one of the most strange and surreal places that I was at all. I love him!
What is Phuket Cassier?
What is this place? Good question.
I have visited Bukit Kasih several times, but it is still completely strange to me. It is like a mixture of Indiana Jones, Yellowston National Park, and an old entertainment park.
When you take for the first time from your car, you will be surrounded by a friendly local table that tries to put the album on you (yes – the album) for photography, and asks whether they can sell the foot massage in the hot springs (“no thanks”.
The natural landmarks in Phuket Casseta are amazing and extremist. There are boiling gases, ground thermal utensils, and crawling outdated stone faces in the hills that look like something from an adventure/horror movie.
History and myth behind some of these effects are wonderful and return to the origins of the Minahasa tribes, the ancestors of people who are still living in this field from Sulawesi today.
All in all, this place is one of the most travel experiences you will get at all. content.
• Earth’s thermal utensils
Bukit Kasih is a very active peripheral thermal area and sits on the slopes of Mount Sobotan, which he had A huge eruption in late 2018.
There are hot springs to boil here, along with the bad sulfur smell, but some have enough temperature to dip your feet. Local residents will offer you your feet stains in warm water for a symbolic fee if you are exhausted after walking.
It is a great place to explore, but be careful if you decide to roam and walk on sulfuric land. It is unstable and there are heat holes in some places that may be dangerous.
These are the rural areas of Indonesia, so they do not depend on any safety measures. I made a mistake of wearing sandals, and I felt heat from the ground on my feet. Just stay away from any smoking areas!
Giant Stone Woods – Toar & Lumimuut
Bukit Kasih contains two huge stones for TOAR and Lumimuut, two legendary couple from the borders of the old border in Minhasa.
according to Tar legend and lumimuutTar was a strong and graceful warrior who was not defeated by any enemy or animal in the forest.
One night, Tar Lummott met at the completion of the moon and became a couple. They are attributed to being the root of the Minhasa people who live in northern Sulawesi to this day.

The large stone faces of these two people were carved in the hills in Phuket Casse, with a gash of grass on top of their hair.
It’s a great look. Bali artist is supposed to be appointed to sculpt these faces in 2003.
You can walk directly to statues if you want, but just be careful on sulfur rocks. The statues are about 50 yards away, and the rice is the easiest to reach proximity.
Stone faces can be reached in about 5 minutes of walking from the parking lot. You do not need to do any long -distance walking.
The scale is impressive, right? A person or two can wrap these gills …
(PS – These giant stone faces are not religious things, so the locals do not mind taking pictures with them at all)
I really think this is one of the strangest landscapes I have ever seen.
• Hill love
If you go up to the top of the hill in Phuket Casset, there is a shrine between religions where all different religions are supposed to be able to worship.
Since 2002, there is a Catholic church, the Protestant Church, the Islamic Mosque, the Buddhist Temple, and the Hindu Temple at the top. The idea behind this was an attempt to unite religions and promote peace, because the population composition in northern Sulawesi was very divided.
The Manadu people are defined as Christians (67 %) and Muslims (31 %), followed by other religions. Phuket Casse is Indonesian Boyhore for Hill of Love, by the way.
Climbing upward is exhausting and has more than 2000 steps. Bring the water if you decide to go to look there!
