Sekumbul Waterfall is a huge double waterfall in Singaraja Bali, with a length of 80 meters (260 feet) of the jungle parts.
If you are looking for the biggest and best waterfall in my mind, this may be! To stop it, while walking for long distances in this fall, you can see some of the most stunning bush and rice terraces on the island.
The Sekumbul Waterfall is no longer secret, but since it is in the northern part of the island and very far from the city, the crowds are still very bad.
This blog will explain how to get there, how to rise without evidence, the type of entrance ticket that can be expected, and everything else you need to know before you go!
Sekumbul’s height: What can be expected
The height to the Sekumbul Waterfall is clear and direct, but I will evaluate it as moderate.
This is not dangerous, but the sharp height up and down to the fall is a big exercise and it takes about 30-60 minutes to reach there, depending on the place where you stand.
Before you start height, you will take dozens of pictures. Incredible scenes in the northern Bali – the green mountains are very slope and rice terraces in all directions!
You walk mainly in a large valley in the forest, and the opinions along the way are very great.
There are two destinations from the views of the Sekumbul – one above the waterfall and one on the bottom.
Don’t only stop at the first point of view, you must definitely check both! The upper view of the image above.
You will want to wear unwanted shoes for this height, as it becomes very muddy near the end. The rocks at the bottom of the waterfall can also be slippery, so be careful.
Fiji waterfall
Near the end of the height, you will reach an intersection with a sign indicating different waterfalls.
Go to the right for 5 minutes if you want to see “Grombong Waterfall” – the main Sekumbul waterfall shown on this page.
Then prepare your steps to the mark and walk in the other direction for 5-10 minutes to reach the Fiji waterfall, which is a cold triple waterfall in the same valley.

Sekul Waterfall (also known as “Grombong”)
Sekumbul Waterfall without evidence (i.e. registration fraud)
You should realize that there is a disturbing fraud in the Sekumppul waterfall, where a group of local population has created a series of fake “scale” checkpoints (but convincing) along the way there.
If you stop at one of these things, they will try to force you to rent a guide of up to 250 km (~ $ 16) For one person. It will tell you that it is dangerous and required, and they may show you a fake entry ticket.
Tell them that you do not need a guide, or better than that, just keep driving. This is easier if you are in a car, of course.
If you wander without stopping, it is possible to overcome the fraudsters, registrate fake and completely fake entry ticket.
After that, you will need to stop in the Lemukih village and raise the southern entrance there, no From the northern entrance to the village will Stop you).
The area is a little bit in the beginning, but we hope the images and map will help below.

Ignore all the “registration” checkpoints without stopping, and leading until you reach this fork on the way. Take left here and you can drive to the free parking area where no one will feel you. (If you take here, you will end up in the village of Sekumppul)

This man is not one of the fraudsters. It is great. Request to be in this picture. On the left is the last parking (and best) parking area for hiking. On the right is the path of the foot to the fall.

This is the real entry ticket for Sekumbul. This ticket was sold by one noble man in a kiosk in the middle of the road below the foot track. The current price is now 20 kg.
These fraudsters Viral gold in November 2023And fake ticket meters have been temporarily suspended by the BULELEG Tourism Office, but it seems that it started working again as of 2025.
Keep in mind that this is a very poor area in Bali, where the locals have very few ways to earn any money. Think about things a little from their point of view, then make your decision on whether or not you will use the local “mandatory” guide.
I am sure that the evidence is useful to take your photos and such, but the path is safe and easy to follow without evidence. Certainly it is not necessary for most people.
If the price is reasonable, I might tend to pay it just to help the local population. But forcing him to pay up to $ 16 per person for a short height, is not reasonable in my book.
SekumPul entry fees
As of 2025, the legitimate entry fees for the Sekumbul Waterfall remain only 20 thousand of rupees (~ $ 1 USD).
You can see the entry ticket in the image above, although the price has risen to 20 thousand rupees now.
How to get to the Sekumbul Waterfall
Sekumbul Waterfall is located in North Bali, about 2.5 hours drive from UBud or one hour of Singaraja.
The best way to get there Scooter or Renting a private car and driver (Both can be reserved online).
You can use the map below to take you to the SekumPul Waterfall in Bali, or just direct your map directly to Warong Figi (Click to get GPS). This Little Warung is the southern starting point for height.
Steam bikes can go to Warung Fiji, but cars will need to stand a little early. Make sure to stop in the last parking area, because it is much closer to the waterfall and will provide you with long walking.
Walking to fall from the last parking zone (also known as Warung Fiji) does not exceed 30 to 45 minutes, and follows a narrow path of landing.
Reward: The Clock Treaty
If you want to see another waterfall in Sekumbul, there is also a pleasant natural water slice located near the Lemukih village, called the Lemukih Water.
It is a long water slice with an area of about 50 meters, similar to a natural slice, and you can reach it on a quick and easy journey from the Lemukih village! The distance of trips from the Sekumbul Waterfall is also short and and can be controlled.
The best time to visit
It is good to visit the Sekumbul Waterfall at any time of the day (or season).
This waterfall does not dry as much as it dries a season compared to some other waterfalls in Bali, so that you can still visit it in the dry season in the months of May to November, although it may start to shrink a little in the subsequent months of the year (especially after August).
Our Sekumbul Waterfall photos were taken in this travel guide in July, and there was still a lot of flow, as well as a gentle rainbow late in the afternoon! We have seen the rainbow here in different afternoon in July. Cedar terraces will be planted in July newly (water), not green, but it can be great for pictures.
The bright green rice balconies that you see in this guide were depicted in March, which are still the rainy season in Indonesia, but we did not face any problems with the rain, and the waterfall was still light as usual!
